The park begins at the base of Mt. Arakurayama and extends up the mountain. At the top of a 398-stair hike is an observation deck that looks out over the cityscape and majestic Mt. Fuji towering above with Chureito Pagoda. Entry fee is free.

Going up to the observatory at an altitude of 1,075 meters by ropeway, you can see a 360-degree panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and Lake  Kawaguchi. The ropeway fee is 900JPY round trip, but you can also enjoy hiking to the observatory.

Fuji Subaru Line 5th  Station is a sightseeing spot not only for climbers but also for those who just stop by on a drive. It takes about 40 minutes one way to reach the 2300-meter elevation point. Fuji Five Lakes and sometimes the mystical view of the sea of clouds can be seen from the there. Restaurants and souvenir shops are also available. Toll fee is 2100 JPY.

Kawaguchi Asama Shrine was created in 865 A.D. to quell the eruption of Mt.Fuji. It was born from the belief that Mt. Fuji is worshiped from a small hill  far away. The torii in the sky (pictured) was made for worship from afar.

Oshino Hakkai is a spring made by filtering snowmelt from Mt. Fuji. In the past, people who practiced Buddhism climbed Mt.Fuji, and it was believed that bathing in the water of Oshino Hakkai would allow them to safely climb Mt.Fuji.

Mishima Skywalk is the longest suspension bridge in Japan with a total length of 400 meters. From the top, visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Admission is 1100JPY (200JPY for children), and visitors can enjoy the E-bike Trail Tour (3500JPY) and the Adventure Course (3900JPY), which includes a long zip-slide.

You can enjoy fishing in an air-conditioned, comfortable boat at Lake Yamanaka. All equipment can be rented, so you do not need to bring anything. The fish you catch can be cooked for you at a nearby restaurant. Fishing boat is 5300JPY (3h, excluding restaurant) Leisure boats are also available if you do not fish.

The Narusawa Ice Cave was created by the eruption of Mt. Fuji in 864 AD. The total length is 150m and the depth is 21m. The temperature is around 3 degrees Celsius all year round, and you can see it in about 15 minutes

Fujiten is the  ski resort where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding with the majestic Mt.Fuji view. There are seven courses that can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers. The kids Ai Land” dedicated to snow play and sledding is an area recommended for families with children of elementary school age and younger.

Term of operation is Mid-December to Early April.

This is an art museum that permanently exhibits “Itchiku Tsujigahana,” an elaborate dyeing artwork by dyeing artist Itchiku Kubota.Itchiku Kubota’s world is expressed not only in his works, but also in everything from the gardens and buildings to the layout of the furnishings.
